Try-On Kit

$100

Wondering how the ring would look on your hand? You don’t need to be in New York to find out. Our try-on kit brings the design to you as a 3D-printed model in your size, with a printed “stone” in place.

If you’re deciding between designs or simply want to be sure of proportions and size, our kit is a great way to envision one of our rings before committing to a bespoke piece of your own. Wear it for a few days, then let us know what you think! If you go on to commission the ring, the price of your kit is credited toward your final piece.

A note on fit

We recommend ordering one or two additional half sizes along with your usual size. The inside profile of every ring is different, and wider bands tend to fit tighter, so trying a few sizes is the best way to find the right fit.

Why half sizes

Our try-on kits come in half sizes. A quarter size is a fraction of a millimeter, and your finger shifts by more than that over the course of a day with heat, cold and time of day. Half sizes give you a clear, reliable comparison without the guesswork.

Each print is made at the true width and inner profile of the design, so it fits the way the finished ring will. This matters with our pieces in particular: a wider ring fits tighter than a slim band in the same size.

When your kit arrives, try each size and notice which one slides over your knuckle with a little resistance and stays put once it’s on. If you’re somewhere between two sizes, that’s useful too. Send us a note on how each one felt, and we’ll settle the final size with you before production, down to the quarter.

A few things to keep in mind

  • The printed stone reflects approximate dimensions for your chosen carat weight, based on standard diamond proportions. Your sourced stone may measure differently.
  • 3D prints show scale and proportion well, but not weight. A print can’t tell you how the finished ring will sit, or whether it will turn, once it’s in metal and set with a stone.
  • Prints may have small marks where supports were removed during post-processing. We check every print for accurate sizing and may file down the inside of the band by hand to bring it to your size. These marks are part of the printing process and don’t reflect the finish of your final piece.
  • If the ring size or stone size you choose is very different from the ring pictured, the design may need to adjust to suit it. A larger stone, for example, can call for a wider band or a heavier setting. We’ll reach out to confirm any changes before printing.
  • Prints typically ship within 5 business days of your order.
